I have tried to train myself to not miss him when he is gone. That way, when he is gone forever, I will be okay.

But he makes a print on my lips each time I go.

He leaves a trail in my memory that keeps me coming back.

When he is gone,

gone to stay,

maybe enough tears would wash it away.
